Why do we recommend Parrot B-Calm?
Parrot B-Calm contains ingredients L-tryptophan, thiamine and turmeric.
L-Tryptophan is a natural pre-cursor for the synthesis of serotonin in the body. Serotonin is the key hormone that stabilizes mood, feelings of well-being, and happiness.
Thiamine is an essential vitamin that is not synthesized in the body. Therefore, it must be absorbed from food sources. Thiamine plays a large part in the function of the nervous system, as well as in the metabolism of energy in the body.
Turmeric contains curcumin, this is a plant derived product that has anti-inflammatory properties as well as being a stimulator for the release of dopamine and serotonin – two hormones that stabilise mood. Curcumin also enhances the synthesis of DHA and Glutathione which play important roles in the health of the brain.

Parrot B-Calm is designed to be fed at a rate of 80% of your parrots total diet, with the remaining 20% to be primarily fresh fruit and vegetables to provide variety and enrichment. Fresh water must always be available.
